Official Opening Day
On Thursday 2nd April, Bowlee Park Community School was officially opened.
We invited lots of guests to join us in celebratrating the opening of our fantastic new school. Our guest of honour was Keri-anne Payne (Olympic Silver medallist, Beijing 2008).
The guests arrived at school for 9.45, where everyone gathered in the school hall to begin our special day. The school choir opened the event, followed by a group of children who spoke about our fantastic school. The Year Five classes then sang a selection of their favourite songs.
Our Chair of Governors then spoke about our school, followed by Ms Windle, who told everyone how proud she was to be headteacher of such an amazing school.
Our guest of honour, Keri-anne Payne then told us about how hard she had to train and work to achieve her medal at the Olympics.
